Best Stretch Mark Cream

In today’s world there are hundreds of creams, oils, and lotions that all have the purpose of preventing or treating stretch marks. Some of them work great, others have been less than successful. Seeing all of the options, I’ve asked myself several times what is the best stretch mark cream?

I’ve comprised a list of several stretch mark creams that have successfully helped me as well as many other moms when it comes to stretch marks. Some of these are intended to prevent stretch marks or heal new ones. Others are used to reduce the appearance of older stretch marks.

Either way, each of them are great, non-expensive options to prevent/manage stretch marks. I personally loved this first one. I didn’t do a great job of using something to prevent stretch marks with my first son and ended up getting a lot! However, with the cream by Body Merry, I’ve been able to drastically change their appearance and they’ve faded away more than I ever thought they’d be able to.

Dermalmd is the best stretch mark cream I’ve ever used. It helped me from the end of my 2nd trimester, instantly relief the pain and prevent the growth of Stretch marks. Thanks to Dermalmd and I’m stretch mark free!

  2. Lauren Kinghorn says:

Hi Jessica, I also used Bio Oil, but I was so sensitive to fragrance during my pregnancy, that I couldn’t use it the whole time. I switched to Georen Pregne Creme because it came free with one of my boxes of Preg Omega, and to experience a different scent. I think my ultimate stretch mark cream would be completely unscented.

    • Jessica Camden says:

It is definitely a matter of preference. I didn’t have a problem with the scented creams myself and thought they worked great! Bio Oil was one of my favorites as well as the Body Merry Cream 🙂

I haven’t hear of the Georen pregnant cream though, I’ll have to look into that!

  3. What a great article with some great reviews on stretch mark creams. I do have a question. Is it too late to use stretch mark cream after a certain number of years? My youngest is 19 and I still have stretch marks. Is it too late to consider these treatments and creams?

    • Thank you 🙂 I don’t think it’s too late to consider using some of these creams to treat your stretch marks. You are more likely to heal stretch marks with a good cream if they’re new stretch marks because when you’re working with stretch marks that are several years old, you usually can’t get rid of them completely without laser surgery. However, you can do a lot to reduce their appearance though and some of the creams I’ve listed here would be excellent if you want to try that! I know it doesn’t sound as appealing to say that can probably only reduce their appearance but I think you’ll be surprised how much they can help! If you’re interested, I’d recommend the stretch mark cream by body merry to help with yours 🙂

I tried Gly Derm Stretch Mark Cream and I’d say it works pretty well. My stretch marks are not so red anymore and I’m excited to see it almost gone. Been using it for around two months, I think.

    • I don’t think I’ve heard of that one. I’ll have to look into it 🙂 That’s great they’re going away! I know how you feel! I was so excited to finally see mine going away!

  5. Angelica says:

Thanks for the listing. I have had noticeable stretchmarks in the past due to weight fluctuations and they are no fun. Although I am not sure how they, for the most part, eventually disappeared, I do remember I used Palmer’s Cocoa Butter and I thing that might have helped a bit. I wasn’t too fond of its smell, though.
I still have some very faint stretchmarks in some areas. Would you know if any of these creams would be any good for such marks? Or do the stretchmarks need to be “fresh.”

    • Jessica Camden says:

That is really awesome most of them just disappeared! Mine definitely didn’t but using some of these I was able to reduce their appearance quite a bit! If the stretch marks you’re going after are very faint these might not make a whole lot of difference. It’s not likely they’ll get rid of the stretch marks completely but they can potentially reduce their appearance further if that’s what you’re looking to do.

      -Jessica

  6. Danielle says:

Thank you for this thoughtfully written comparison! If I use all of them, will the marks completely go away? Joking! 😉 I haven’t been pregnant, but it’s amazing what toll gaining and losing 10-15 pounds over the years has on your skin. Thank you again! Looks like I have some of my own experimenting to do!

    • Jessica Camden says:

I wish I could use all of them and make mine go away! That’d be pretty sweet 🙂

Gaining/Losing a significant amount of weight can wreak havoc on your skin 🙁 If you ever do plan to have kids I would definitely recommend you use one of these or another stretch mark treatment throughout your pregnancy! It’s always best to prevent something then to try to take care of it afterwards!

      Thank you for reading 🙂

  7. saif says:

Very interesting site. Before I was really until I lose a lot of weight, which unfortunately I had a lot of stretch mark in my arm and my stomach. I know its weird for a guy like me. I never used those stretch mark cream you have posted, but I did use one, “stretch mark glyderm”. I used it for a month and it did reduce a bit, I noticed that the stretch mark became lighter and its not prominent. But I will try to use one of those product you recommend.

    • Sadly those are some of the most common places they develop. While it is more common for women to develop stretch marks, it does still occur with men. I haven’t heard of the stretch mark treatment you used but I’m glad it worked for you. If you have any additional questions or want recommendations don’t hesitate to ask! Thank you for reading 🙂

  8. Fernan says:

Very accurate post. I agree Stretch Marks and Scars Cream by Body Merry is one of the best I’ve tried. After doing some bench press, I started to see stretch marks near my outer chest area until I started using that product and now it’s almost invisible. Great reviews and thank you for your other suggestions!

    • That is awesome 🙂 I’m glad you’ve had great results with it as well! It is my favorite and I’ve noticed it does great at both reducing stretch marks and preventing them. Thank you for stopping by!

  9. inzhirov says:

Hello just wanted to say thank you for this great post I found it very useful. I was looking for creams for stretch marks for a long time and most of the creams out there do not work so great but gonna try out your recommended creams and see it they will work for me thanks again for the info.

    • Jessica Camden says:

Hey! I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and read! I too have had a lot of bad experiences with stretch mark removal creams. It’s hard to find ones that work good! These that I’ve listed are ones that I, close family members, and many others have tried and had the most success with! I hope you will as well!

  10. Loes says:

Hi Jessica, your article comes as a gift to me, my son has extremely stretch mark on his back and around his hips, which of these would you recommend, he is 15 years old and has grown so fast the last 3 year. He went from 160cm to 189cm.
We use an oil now for the last 4 months daily, but it’s not doing that much.
I hope you can advice me which one will make those mark go blank again. They are now fire-red.
Hope to hear soon from you:)

    Kind regards, Loes

    • Jessica Camden says:

Oh wow that is quick! That’s almost a whole foot! I hope one of these can help him. I’d recommend the Stretch Mark & Scar Cream by Body Merry. It’s supposed to reduce the appearance of stretch marks that occur from sudden physical changes in your body. I’ve spent so much time researching what I could do to heal or at least reduce my own stretch marks. I’ve tried several products and I’ve had the very best results with the Stretch Mark & Scar Cream by Body Merry. I’ve found that when you start working on healing them while they’re still purple or red you’re likely to have much better results! If you wait until they’ve turned white you can still reduce their appearance but not as much as you couldn’t when they were still healing.

Another thing I’d recommend if you’re interested is watching some of his eating and drinking habits. It he makes sure to stay hydrated (8-10 glasses of water a day) and eat foods to increase your skins elasticity your skins stretching limits will expand and you’re body will be in a better state to get the best results possible from your stretch mark treatment. Some foods you can eat to do this are gelatin, foods containing Vitamin C or Vitamin K, fermented cod liver oil, and organic fruits and vegetables.

I hope that helps and if you have any additional questions don’t hesitate to ask!

      -Jessica

      • Loes says:

Thank you Jessica, for your quick response. He really did grow to fast, he is a head above me with his 15 years of age:) I never thought of the cure of food. I will advice him to drink more, and I allready have him on omega 3-6-9 oil. I do now use an oil with vitamine A and E, bisabolol, calandula, chamomille, lavender and sunflower. I sure want to try out your recommendation:)
        Kind regards Loes

        • Wow! and at 15 it’s likely he’s not yet done growing! I do think staying hydrated and eating well will help reduce his chances of developing more stretch marks. It’ll increase his skins elasticity so that it can stretch more with the fibers underneath the skin breaking and causing stretch marks. It sounds like you’re doing a great job on what he is eating though 🙂
I wish you both the best of luck and I appreciate you stopping by! If you have any additional questions please let me know! I hope you both have a wonderful holiday season!
